After its world debut at the Geneva Auto Show last month, the Maserati GranTurismo S Automatic made its North American debut this week during the New York International Auto Show. But it wasn’t at the Javits Center. Instead, Maserati displayed the vehicle at its corporate showroom on Park Avenue.
The most powerful model in the Maserati lineup, the GranTurismo S is motivated by a 4.7-liter V8 engine producing 433 horsepower and 361 lb-ft of torque. Buyers can now put this power to the road via a new ZF 6-speed automatic transmission, offering the convenience of an automatic while retaining the great performance.
Setting the new GranTurismo S Automatic apart from other versions are the new side skirts and unique 20-inch "Trident" alloy wheels. Inside, passengers will find Bluetooth connectivity and an MP3 interface as standard equipment.
The Maserati GranTurismo S Automatic goes on sale in North America later this year for a mere $121,500.
